Under Promise, Over Deliver

I know, I know, it's been two days I didn't post anything. I had no access to my computer and you must be thinking this girl just blabbers. :) But, it's really not a worthy excuse when I say I didn't have access to a single computer, when technology has thrown enough of resources out there, it's my mistake, or you can say ignorance and laziness for not making the time to go out and grab any of the computers in the cyber cafe and write atleast few lines since I had promised to write every single day.

Keeping up promises which you made to yourself also is as important as the ones which you must have made to others. As they say, everything begins at home, meaning first clean the clutter at your place and then think of doing it everywhere else. This applies to every aspect of life, may it be being disciplined, or being non-judgmental, or being ego-less and so on. For instance when you point out to someone saying she or he is full of ego, just glance into your conscience once, do you actually have enough evidence to say that you're apart from the crowd with 'no ego'. If you are sure, then it's but natural that you would not comment on anyone else either since a person without any ego I think is the most non-judgmental person about people or situation and is at peace.

Under Promise Over Deliver (UPOD) is the mantra to long lasting success, success may it be in a smaller form or a bigger one. Whenever you promise to do something, whether it's to yourself or others, let it be straight forward but simple and small, it should be affordable and perceivable. The same applies to the goals that you set ( goal-setting is not my cup-of-tea yet, but I'm learning it slowly).

Under promising means to just quote the promises which are simple and they shouldn't seem like tough promises really, by doing so you've all the opportunities to break those, without anybody(or you) being hurt in the process for not having lived up to that promise ;).  Another advantage when you under promise is that, when you've lived up to that easily manifest-able  promise, the joy you get out of it is immeasurable.

Now, using this mantra of UPOD, you can imagine how would it be with all the promises being fulfilled plus an additional bonanza of over delivering by going that extra mile, than what has been promised. :) Smiling hmmm...? I know it indeed brings smile on everyone, may it be the one who promised or the one who has been promised.

TIP : Well, if you're working in any of the organizations try this magic mantra of UPOD, you'll be awestruck when you're showered with the appraisals and the perks you'll be offered. And especially, who're entrepreneurs, I tell you this mantra works wonders. You can see the delight on your customers' faces and undoubtedly your business will grow.

-Cheers!
Priyal :)
